| Floor, Walls Of Bathrooms / Toilets |
|
The new Bathrooms/Toilets etc. are treated with our “Surface” method which starts directly over the R.C.C. Slab. The internal wall shall be plastered leaving a space of about 600mm (2 feet) from floor level.
Before the commencement of our work all chiseling/cutting in the floor & wall shall be done by the Plumber.
- We shall then put a layer of plaster of about 3/4" in which stone aggregate of 15mm to 20mm nominal size will be embedded/ fixed by hand at random (the treatment shall then be cured for at least 24 hours).
- We shall now a am provide a layer of waterproof plaster of about 1/2" above the stone aggregate. The treatment shall be carried on the side of sunken slab & side walls up to 600mm above floor level. The thickness of the treatment on the walls will be about 3/4" (The treatment shall then be cured for at least 24 hours).
- Now the plumber shall finish all his plumbing work i.e. laying & fixing of pipes. Nahani traps. Pans etc. without any further breaking of the surface, which can disturb our treatment.
- After plumbing work, we shall fill in the sunken portion with our brick-bat coba method (Brick-bat fixed in cement mortar) up to required level. (The treatment shall then be cured for at least 24 hours.
- We shall now provide our waterproof plaster of about 1/2" above the brick bat layer, which shall be finished rough so that tiles can be fixed with ease.
NOTE:
- The rates are quoted separately for waterproof plaster as one item & filling the sunken portion as second item. No deduction in the floor & wall area for pans & other fitting & fixtures are made in the measurement.
- In the case of existing toilets etc. the existing treatment including filling in the depressed area & tilling on the floor & on the walls up to 600mm shall be removed by the plumber/owner & rectify or removed by the plumbing etc. before we commence our work.
