To propose to treat the U/G structure by our “BOX Method” for this we require minimum 150(6”)thick layer of cement concrete 1:3:6 using metal up to No.2 laid even with smooth surface finished with wooden trowel by the owners on well completed natural soil or compacted with rubble soling or plum concrete as the case may be in accordance with the condition of parts.
The bottom 150mm(6”)_ P.C.C. shall be laid manner projecting minimum 150 mm (6”) beyond the ends of the R.C.C. Raft on four sides .on the P.C.C. thus laid we put our “Tech _proof” waterproof layer based on cement about 75 mm thick(3”). This is then superimposed by the owners with R.C.C. Raft designed to withstand the uplift pressure of the subsoil water arrived at by multiplying the full depth in feet of the U/G structure up to the bottom of the P.C.C. with 62.5 lbs-pressure of the water per S f t. superimposition of the Horizontal areas with the R.C.C. Raft is to done immediately after 72 hours of our work. No expansion joints are needed in the R.C.C. Raft any cases.
After the construction of te R.C.C. Raft and walls by the owners, the said Tech-proof layer is continued & carried along the outer surface of the walls up to a height of about 300mm. (one foot) above the adjoining ground or apron level.
